Instructors in our gym
Instructors in our gym perform the following duties:
- assess the needs and capabilities of individuals through weighing, measuring and conducting fitness tests to check blood pressure, heart rate and lung capacity
- provide training and assistance to individuals and groups by preparing a routine of exercises to music
- provide advice to individuals on the correct method of exercising with weightlifting equipment, exercise bikes, treadmills and other training and exercise machines
- devise personal exercise programs for individuals according to age and level of fitness
- provide instruction in a variety of fitness activities
- consult with doctors, physiotherapists, dietitians and other allied health professionals to create health and fitness programs for clients.
New Faces
We have two new instructors to welcome as well as our dietician. Deanne and Nicole have recently joined the team and have the same drive to ensure you work hard and continually work towards your fitness goals. Nicole is taking Monday 6pm Speed and Tuesday 6pm Circuit and Deanne will take you through your paces with Wednesday 6.15am circuit and 6pm Power Bar as well as 9.30am circuit on Thursday. Sonja Veyerman is a clinical and sports dietician and is able to help you with any nutrition based concern. She holds a clinic at Bodyguard several times a week and you can arrange an appointment by ringing Sonja directly on 02 4861 2177.
